On the far left of a construction hoarding in Tseung Kwan O, a printed woman holds a bicycle against an expanse of blue water. As I waited along the cycling lane, a young girl rode past, their gestures briefly echoing. Behind the advertisement for “The Pavilions,” workers moved across exposed steel and timber. Cranes rose above them, towers repeating into the distance. The promise of waterfront ease stood before a site still in progress. I released the shutter when projection and daily life briefly aligned.
