Wheelbarrow, 2019

Wheelbarrow, 2019 - I came across this in Wan Chai by the Convention Centre late in the evening, when the city was easing but still fully lit. A wheelbarrow rested in the foreground, dark against the concrete. The distance between foreground and skyline felt compressed. The finished and the unfinished seemed to share the same surface, held together by the night. Nothing was happening, yet everything was still in motion. I lingered, watching how the city revealed itself through what remained when activity paused.
